Talk of a Lifetime

It’s time to tell OUR story, with ONE voice.

You can help create a positive momentum toward reversing the trend of less memorialization by taking part in the new FAMIC consumer education campaign, Have the Talk of a Lifetime™.

Through your participation in the Have the Talk of a Lifetime campaign, you will help people in your community discover the unique life stories of the people who matter most to them. These discussions can help families and friends make important decisions about how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones through meaningful memorialization.

In addition to encouraging more meaningful memorialization, Have the Talk of a Lifetime will also help consumers understand the important role that funeral professionals play in the memorialization process and grow in your business.

This initial phase of the Have the Talk of a Lifetime campaign is grassroots. That means that local funeral homes and suppliers throughout the country – funeral professionals like you – will join together with one voice to share campaign materials with funeral consumers in their community.

What is Have the Talk of a Lifetime?
Have the Talk of a Lifetime™ is designed to help families talk about what matters most in their lives and how they made a difference. These discussions can help families make important decisions about how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones.
Why is having the talk important?

Deep down, most of us want to know that we, in some way, made a difference in this world. Having the Talk of a Lifetime can make the difference of a lifetime. It can help reacquaint us with our loved ones and help us get to know them in a new and different way.

Sitting down with your loved ones to talk about their lives can be rich and satisfying. Learning about memorable events and people, places and favorite activities, values and lessons they have learned can help bring us closer to those we care about most. The talk helps us reaffirm to our loved ones how much they have impacted our life.
